Apple Music for Android now lets users store music on SD card
If you're one of those using Apple Music app on your Android, there's a good news. Apple has updated the app that takes full advantage of Android OS and its features. While the app is still in beta, it adds the ability to save songs on SD card for offline listening.
Making the best use of storage space on Android is a good and promising move by Apple. While current iPhones come with maximum storage space of 128GB, some of the recently launched Android phones support microSD cards up to 2TB.
This means, users can download their favorite songs on the external storage without being constrained by internal storage limitations and listen to them even when not connected to the Internet.
With the new update, you can get the full schedule of shows on Beats 1, and also browse My Music based on Compilations and Composers. For those who haven't used the app yet can download it for free from Google Play Store. Apple is also offering three months free trial to new users. After end of free trial, users will be charged Rs 120 per month for an individual plan, or Rs 190 per month for family plan (where users can add up to six members).
In just over six months since launch, Apple's music streaming service has over 10 million paid subscribers. The service boasts over 30 million songs, which include the likes of Bollywood, International and regional songs as well.
